iOS 13: Is it compatible with Gvision Recording?

March 2, 2020 - Research is Ongoing

Our engineers need time to develop the new firmware. If you updated your device to iOS 13, we have another solution for saving videos onto an Apple® device. Use the Gvision USB Adapter Kit for saving video inspections to a smartphone. See details below.

The Gvision USB Adapter Kit allows the user to share video inspections to different devices. The “A Grade” 4GB mobile-friendly flash drive holds up to 4 hours of videos and comes with a standard USB connector at one end and a micro-USB on the other end that can plug into compatible devices such as smartphones. Also included is a USB-C to Female-USB cable, and a Lightning to Female-USB cable for Apple® devices.

July 2019 –

Apple® announced last month iOS 13 will release to the public in mid September. As of July 19, 2019, the iOS 13 Beta version is not compatible with the most recent DVR firmware. Our engineers that handle this connection are aware of the problem and are working on a solution.

Our engineers need time to develop new firmware to handle the changes made by Apple®. We recommend waiting before updating your Apple® device to iOS 13 until we’ve released new firmware.

We will update this page as soon as the problem is completely resolved, or else subscribe to our newsletter below to receive updates right to your mailbox.

To record videos onto your iOS 12 Apple® device today, you will need the latest firmware version. iOS 12 – iOS 10 will connect with the Gvision with firmware version 3.1.1.2 and the Gplink 2.0 app (beta).  Earlier iOS software requires older firmware.
